Hello. My wife has volunteered herself to organise a holiday with her family. Current numbers are around 14 adults and 4 kids. So we're looking for somewhere to stay that will hold us all. 9 bedrooms, similar quantity of bathrooms/loos. Characterful if poss, in a good spot for the less active members of the party. I'm probably the only biker, but there will be others that are up for a hike, so nearby hills/mountains would be good. We're looking at September and if we can keep the cost under £300 a head that would be amazing. I would think Inverness is about as far north as some in the party would want to drive, as it's a fair way from Herefordshire. If the STW Hivemind can make any sensible suggestions..?

Mustbe something somewhere off the A9. Between dunkeld and Inverness.

We have stayed in a large place in. Carrbridge may need two of them

Climbing club rented Glencarron Lodge one time years ago. One big house, 18 people, plus an adjacent smaller house for 8. Slightly beyond Inverness, but not all that much

Mar Lodge is a great call.

Not all in one property but all on the same estate and all within walking distance of each other. A lovely spot and not one I’d have thought of but my parents booked it for all the family for their 50th wedding anniversary.

We stayed at ‘Tayview’ in Killin earlier in the year, slept 18 but not all en-suite as your looking for, plenty of outdoors activities walking, cycling, golf in the area plus a couple of nice pubs.
