Considering selling/swopping my black 2005 HL 5 spot frame with chromed SA ( last year made )as I'm finding 29ers fit me better .Cost £1750 at the time from Big Peaks in Ashburton and tbh hasn't been ridden a great deal. Size large with fox RP23 shock It's mechanically A1 having been maintained meticulously with no play at pivots but has some scuffs/marks through use ( no dents/dints/cracks etc ). Also comes with spare full bush kit /mech hanger if wanted ( cost £90)
what do you reckon it's worth these days ?
thanks
Bill in Exeter

It was a classic of its time, and with the right rear shock and a slack set would still be a decent bike now, but it's still 10 years old aluminium. With what is now regarded as a short front centre.

Not very much really.

1 1/8 head tube
27.2 seat tube
26" wheels.

Not so very much I reckon.
Great bike, mate of mine only got rid of his exact same model this year when the chainstay snapped for the second time, he'd had it welded once on the other side...
The reign he replaced it with cost slightly more for a whole bike than the frame only price in the op and he says it's better in every way...

Am pondering the same but an xxl with some fox 36 talas forks. Thought £300 for both would be pushing it for both.

I think it's worth eleventy squillion pounds at least. This is not influenced in the slightest by the fact that I still have that exact frame on my main bike.

Just sold a Horst Link Flux with Kashima CTD Factory shock for £250, shock was near new. Probably better to keep it as a spare bike unles you already have one.
