Anyone know the actual dimensions of the 2011 lapierre headtubes? I hear they need specific headsets but does anyone have anymore info?
I can't remember the size, but AFAIK no-one makes one to fit. I had to get a Hope one turned down so it would go in properly.
It may be worth speaking to We Love Lapierre, I seem to recall some mention from them of getting some Lapierre specific tapered headsets from Hope.
Why Lapierre decided to make their own standard who knows. I went through a right headache trying to get something to fit - even Hotlines & Lapierre themselves thought it was a standard tapered HT diameter...
Other option is I believe the headset in them from standard is a Cane Creek, the ID of the bearings is identical to all of the other headsets they do - so could be worth just getting a couple of decent replacement bearings (unless it's a whole new headset you want).
Thing is i'm not wanting one to fit a lapierre, I'm just wondering if the ones that "we love lapierre" have will fit my frame!
