Right me and my girlfriend decided to go to Cannock chase again after nearly a year. A rather large crash last year put her off going again until now.
Anyway we got to a section where to exit was a wooden ramp which was a little bit steep and it all went a little pear shaped. Needless to apart from the dented pride she has a couple of really good shiners on her legs from when she crashed.
I'd like to get her some padded shorts try and give her a little bit of protection when she does fall but can't see many reviews on them. So firstly ladies do you use anything like this and secondly if so what is it and is it any good? There is loads of kit there for us lads but the selection is somewhat limited for you girlie's.

P.s we don't do downhill so its only light padding required.
We sell a lot of POC VPD armour to the girls as it comes up small and seems to fit pretty well. It's lightweight and easy to ride in as well which helps.
The best thing to do is get to a shop and she can try stuff on - pick the most comfortable and best fitting stuff you find.
oooh, padded shorts sound interesting... I wear freeride/DH Loeka baggies. Material has held up very well against scrapes. I also wear THE storm knee-shin guards in a S/M. I feel fairly well protected, though I'm not really going fast enough to warrant anything tougher...
Isn't Rock Garden female specific body armour or have I made that up?
Thanks peeps for the input, I've just had a look at the Poc kit and looks promising now it will be a of seeing who stocks it to go and have a look at it.
The Rock Garden kit isn't all female specific but I think the junior shorts may be an option.
Lol Miaowing Kat my girlfriend is the same she doesn't go that fast but she does pick the worst places to stack it hence the god almighty bruises she has this evening. She uses a set of my shin pads which helped when the pedals got acquainted with her shins but that's about it really.
Please post back here how you get on because if I ever get my wife riding "proper" trails then armour would help ensure she rides more than once 🙂
