Just got a remote Dropzone (Same mechanism in head as Eten) and the cable pinch bolt keeps moving up the cable when I push the bar mounted lever. I'm concerned I'll strip the threads if I tighten up the grub screw too tight. Anyone else experienced this?
Snap. .....had the same here just tightened it a tad and was fine.
I did have hours of fun looking for an Allen key small enough to tighten it and I reckon you'll be twisting the Allen key before you over tighten the grub....
Can't remember what size it is, but I just went up 0.5mm (i.e M2 to M2.5) and used a more substantial screw. No faffing with tiny hex keys, and you can get enough on it to grip supertight.
Cheers chaps. Pre-squashed the cable with pliers then gave it a bit more welly when tightening the grub screw...seems to be holding but always best to ask first given previous hamfisted mistakes 😳
