Kona Explosif '13 - Sliding 142 dropouts.. any stockists?

So, I've just been reacquainted with a much loved Kona Explosif '13. I bought it new and had it for a few years before it went off to a family member. It's been used once on a salty wet winter ride and then neglected for the last 7 years. everything is seized and in general need of some TLC.

Now.. they come stock with 135qr rear sliding dropouts but they did do a 142 through axle dropout upgrade.. but I can't find a kit anywhere! Local LBS I bought it from and others aren't any help. It looks like it might be fairly generic across the Kona range of that  age, so hoping someone could help me.

27.5 x 135 wheels are pretty scarce now unless I spend hundreds on a custom build. I've got a nice 142 spare wheel so makes sense to try and use that so just need the dropouts to suit.

Any help would be much appreciated! I know this is a rather niche request..

(PS- any rigid 29er forks QR, boost, non-boost, I'm interested!)

Not sure if HiBike deliver to UK any more, thy they have CC-142 and CCND-142 (drive/non drive) listed in stock

Cheers both! Just priced them on both sites with the axle.. £80+!

Not cheap.. maybe I'm better off with a new wheel.

unless I spend hundreds on a custom build

or learn how to build your own from cheap parts. It’s fun!

...or if it's too much hassle, I'd be interested in buying it off you. My 2013 Explosif was stolen a year and a half ago and I still miss it.

It's a bit of a long shoot, but it's just possible that you could get something from Pipedream. When I enquired about the sliding dropouts on my S3 Sirius they mentioned that they were made in the same factory as Kona and so were possibly the same.

I'm sure that they used to do 142 thru axle dropouts  for the Sirius. They've still got a link up on their website but it leads to a missing page.

Might be worth giving them a shout.
