Has anyone ridden from Ledcharrie to Balquhidder making use of the footpath before Kirkton Glen? Kirkton Glen looks fine but not sure how much of the footpath is rideable (in either direction).

Cheers.

Tried once to ride from Balquhidder direction but couldn't find the foot path once I got to the top of kirkton glen, so guessing it's not that rideable...but i might have been blind.

I've gone the other way on a couple of occasions - Balquhidder to Ledcharrie. Hike-a-bike from the landy track up to the bealach, and then a fun (in a tussock-hopping kinda way) descent. Not very ridable back up would be my guess.

We return via the landy track through Gleann Dubh into Glen Kendrum.

Drop me an email if you want map grabs / GPS tracks.

Like Crispin I did the reverse run earlier this year - lots of boggy singletrack fun descending down towards the old Railway line from the top of the Bealach. Would be a bit of a drag going the other way I would have thought - the path should be easy to pickup tho.

Thanks. I had a feeling it would be better to go Balquhidder to Ledcharrie with the Gleann Dubh/Glen Kendrum as the best option to get to Balquhidder.
