Only taken 20 something years but finally killed a frame - dawn ride thwarted by cracked (split) chainstay. Prob due to high levels of stay mashing chain suck over the last 18months. Farewell trusty inbred hello soul ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Death by chainsuck doesn't count...that's just poor maintenance and sloppy gear changes ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

I was thinking more sabotage! Never ridden an inbred but Soul is great.

Nothing to do with poor maintenance - the chain stay took a mashing about 2 years ago. New chain / slight (not obvious) burr on small chain ring. Left me with a chain sized indent in the stay that is extremely prone to suck.

Thinking orange soul with some dt swiss

The new orange ones are nice. Moving forks across from inbred or new ones?

Across, just been to 18, the supplier seems to have the fork date as a moveable feast.
