A friend of mine has asked for some advice on a decent jump bike for his son for xmas. Knowing nothing of this heathen form of cycling (I like to keep my wheels on the ground) I thought I'd ask on here.

His budget is a £250 (it is for a 10 year old). Does anyone have any recommendations?

Ta very much.

Single speed, 24" wheels and only a rear brake is what the Chicksands guys seem to run - but at 10 he should hopefully light so can get away with something less strong/heavy.

Probably s/h from ebay?

I'm 5ft11" and ride a small STP, it'd be far too long for a 10yr old.
How much do you want for it mollski?
