Can any Dad's advise on getting a bike together for kid's cyclocross? I picked up a s/h 24'' road bike for my 8yo lad thinking it might do the trick with the right tyres, but the rims are too narrow. A 24'' kenda offroad tyre (1 3/8) is miles too baggy and won't fit.
Is there much out there for 24'' CX wheels? Not seeing much but there were loads of kids on them at last Saturday's race.
Wondering if the easiest thing to do would be to just get him on a MTB, which he needs anyway as he's outgrown the current one.

Worx bikes do childs specific cyclocross bikes with decent wheels/tyres and the correct age group gearing if needed for competition.
