Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a decent priced bmx style kids bike? Need one for my 6 year old lad for Christmas but we are on a tight budget this year with having another bun in the oven. Want to spend around £80 if possible.
eBay is your friend. I pocked up a Mongoose Micron which was nominally second hand for £50. My 8 year old could not detect it wasn't brand new. A new set of grips, saddle and chain and I couldn't have detected it wasn't new. For a 6 year old you are probably looking at 18" wheels max.
Set up a regular search on ebay for Mongoose, Haro and GT and you should be fine before Christmas.
I have a 20" wheeled Scott for sale at the moment - £50 collected. I know it is not BMX, but it is an ACE wee bike that Dangerousbeans kids x2 learned on, now our 3 kids - fabulous. 8)
