Has anyone got on and has had it long-term? If so how is it going and any issues with it?

Yep, 5000 km over two years. It is great, very easy to jump between users. Wahoo have been great, we had to have a warranty replacement, but this was fuss free. The only disadvantage to the bike, is wahoo seem to think they are temperature sensitive, so apparently keeping them in an unheated garage isn’t a good idea, but where else would you keep a turbo? It is a brilliant bit of kit, but we now keep it in the spare bedroom rather than the garage. Happy to answer any more questions on the bike, there were some good deals about for the V1. I contacted DC rainmaker and he wasn’t aware of a high failure rate from the bikes, I guess he would know !

It saves wear and tear on your road bike, it is so easy to change between users and generally great! But if you have a spare bike and you are a single user the wahoo turbo maybe more cost effective.

Thanks for the reply orangemad

I currently use a turbo situated in the bedroom as it's the only place I can have it and I'm fed up with having to constantly clean the bike if I've used it outside before it can go on the turbo. I've used it a hell of a lot more this winter and would like to carry on and find it's great for a quick half-hour spin as it involves no faffing about and I really don't want another bike.

I’ve had one since lockdown v1 whenever that was, according to Strava I’ve done just over 8000km on it and never had any issues. It lives in the garage which gets really cold, first I’ve heard of them being temperature sensitive. If you can afford it get one, you won’t regret it.

That good to hear tonyd.

Watching videos the bike seems to rock about a bit especially in sprints compared to other brand bikes and Wahoo said they want it to feel like a real bike does this cause any excessive creaking noises or does it feel somewhat like riding outside?

I did used to get the odd creak but tightening clamps and adding a bit of grease has fixed that.

I’ve got mine on a rocker plate so can’t remember how much movement there is normally. With the rocker plate it’ll rock side to side and move front to back, this makes longer rides more bearable as you’re not so static.
