I'm spending new year week there with some mates and planning a couple of days riding. What are the best routes around there?
And where are the best sledging hills for the kids??

We used to go sledging and skiing HERE infact Yorkshire Ski Club used to set up a button tow on the slope (I'm talking 1980's) so presume it must have been considered a decent location (more likely they just got permission and you can park cars at the bottom). It's no more than 1 mile from Kettlewell

Head up Cam Head Road, onto Starbotton fell and work your way round. Classic dales tracks. Lovely.

Lots of great rides round there. For real local knowledge, you could check out the New Inn at Appletreewick, just through Burnsall.

There's also a small shop in Grassington, right on the corner near
