I need* a 29er.I like the way these look,and quite fancy one for multi day highland trips. Any impressions from users,Also I have only seen two of them in the flesh,both rigid.How bad is the steel fork/huge tyres at absorbing landy track type routes? Cheers.

If you can, try before you buy. I know some people like them, but I hated mine for off-road and there are loads of other 29ers around if wheel size is the niche you're trying to fill.
