Did you get the headlight or the bike mount version?

THe accessories are HERE

You need a headstrap and the extension cable if you want the battery in a back pack rather than on your head.

I bought the headlight version but, and I am probably being a bit thick here, I can't work out how to arrange the strap thing to fit the light on the helmet...

If I try to put it on top of the helmet it doesn;t work very well, and I cant put it on the front of my forehead (under the helmet), because it would foul the helmet...

This is my old helmet. I cut the strap off and used zip ties to secure it to the helmet, looks like this;

I didn't even bother with the mount they sent, just used the 2 rubber rings (one doubled through the other) to make it long enough to loop through the helmet.

luckily my helmet has a section that the light can sit on in the centre.

Otherwise Mountys suggestion looks good.

could do with an extension lead - anyone got a link to it?

Ok, looks like a bodge is in order. I will award myself bonus points if it's easily removable for road rides.

What are the connectors like on the magicshine? I notice they carefully don't show them in those photos.

I presume they are standard sized jacks and the cables can actually be either cobbled together easily enough
