Just got back from a marvellous few days near Dumfrieshire where we managed to get in a couple of rides in Mabie and Dalbeattie. The trails were pretty good despite a bit of rain. We met up with a couple of local riders for a very entertaining ride around Mabie on the 31st and even had our bikes washed by the great bloke in the cafe as he was fixing the washer and gave our bikes a free wash-down while we were having a brew; a marvellous surprise to come out to hose the bikes down and they were all shiny! Outstanding service and we are all ready planning a return trip soon.

We met up with a couple of local riders
Name names pls ๐
`tis a great place innit ๐
Dalbeattie is just as "interesting" if you find a local who knows where to go ๐
really busy yesterday, shop would have paid for itself if it had opened but everyone is entitled to their holidays/days orf ๐
Check your bearings - could be full of water ๐
Trekster, we met up with Ian and Andy, both from Dumfries. My brother was chatting to them in the carpark a few days before and arranged to meet up on Sat for a bit of a guide around Mabie and a couple of extra loops. The diversion was surprisingly good fun in an out of control sort of way.
The cafe was full when we were there but it does not take much to fill it up.
