Hey guys, as most of the cumbrian residents are getting mad at the amount of snow weve had, ive done the natural thing and extended my commute by around an hour to get in as much snow riding as i can!

Excuse the small bike but ive sold my last bike and still waiting for delivery on the new one so im stuck with the girlfriend's bike for a while!

Route: Windermere to Staveley (the long way round)

Matt

Looks great, I think we must be the only part of the country to have missed out on snow this time around.

Great pics mate. Missed out on the chance to do my commute today ๐Ÿ˜ฅ as I am off work on holiday.

Made up for it with a 7-hour ride through a snowy mid-Derbyshire though ๐Ÿ™‚

I know that route! ๐Ÿ™‚
I rode it in the floods a few weeks ago, now it's under 6" of snow, great stuff!

soma_rich, it's a conversion kit for almost any bike I think so I assume they just haven't taken the brake off when fitting the ski to the fork.

Nice pics by the way! Looks like fun. Not ridden in the snow since last March at Thetford.

cheers for the comments guys

hora - the frame is tiny, like 15" or whatever the smallest size is (the girlfriend is a short one!) and im 6'1, its the most uncomfortable thing in the world, every uphill is out of the saddle and i only have the saddle there to sit on everynow and then when freewheeling. Its good fun though and its a killer at glentress.

haha 'COMMUTE ENVY' YESSSSSSSSSSSS

the seat is mine thankfully, and she has an easton post to stick in it when shes riding it so im not bothered about riding a bent post. hora, as i said its a good fun size, ive fitted a 100mm stem and 740mm wide bars to get it stretched out in both ways to how i like it, it eats up hills out the saddle, but get a good seatpost in there if your wanting to ride it for a longer period than i have unless you wanna snapppppppppppppppp!

Cheers once again

Matt
