After a quick search I couldn’t see anything posted about the latest developments.

A few signs have gone up promoting a public consultation regarding cycling in the woods. As you run through it, there seems to be plans afoot for cycle specific trails being built. There’s been local opposition growing so it’s worth 5 minutes of your time to get the cyclist’s case across.

I’m pants at uploading photos so the URL is: https://bit.ly/2RqDrZZ

Thanks for the heads up. I don't ride there as much as I used to but enjoy it when I do. Survey filled in,it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Completed the survey. I’ve been going there for about 20 years and never had an issue. I just make sure I stay out of peak periods and don’t dig or otherwise “improve” the trails (other than reversing the actions of the local stick man)

The local NIMBY brigade have been on at WT to ban cyclists full stop apparently.

There’s a few off piste runs that have been dug that were very much hidden away but a few ‘shares’ on social media has brought them to the attention of a wider group.

Had a chat with a WT volunteer years ago. Generally they seem to be anti bike but as long as no damage was caused they tended to turn a blind eye. Cue digging and people riding off piste and that has got their backs up.
