I'm pretty sure there are a few spaceframe riders on here, i'm tempted but a bit confused by the one size fits most sizing. Jeff is away and unable to discuss until next week so I thought I'd ask on here.
I ride a large Soul, 24"ETT with a 110mm stem. I used to have a 29er Scandal with a 24.4" ETT with a 80mm stem and a layback post. Height wise I'm 6'2" with a longer body than legs.
I'm pretty sure I would find a 23"ETT Jones with a normalish length stem too short. Or am I missing something? Cheers, Dave
At 6' 4" I was borderline and got the 24" but I know another rider of the same height who is happy with his 23"
The thing to remember with the spaceframe is that the ETT is highly dependent on seat height. If your leg length is significantly disproportionate to your torso length then you might find it a bit short
On the other hand you might wheely a lot.
Has he gone from full custom to only one size?
I remember when Giro went from about 7 sizes to 3 and forgot about all the previous benefits...
I am same size as you but with shorter torso and am on a custom with 23'5 ett. It is perfect for me but would suit riders that are a bit longer or shorter than me well. And that is with a non-bent seattube and non- setback seatpost!
Hope this helps.
