[Closed] J.E. James mail order - reliable or not?

I know they had issues a few years ago but I thought they had sorted their act out due to various negative threads etc.

I ordered something on Saturday night, which is supposedly in stock, and haven't heard a thing since.

Is this the usual level of service one should expect from their web site?

I've used them once, no issues but they were a little slower than CRC and Wiggle.

Used them a few times and always good. It is Christmas remember so post is especially slow

The order hasn't been processed yet as you usually get a notification stating that it has and then another letting you know it has been dispatched.

Just seems a long time to wait for an order to be processed...

I find them usually quicker than crc or wiggle. Give it a few more days though, busy time of year.

Just ring and ask, they were decent enough when I did.

They are awful...

I have ordered from them 2 or 3 times and there has always been an issue...

You should phone them and chase it up.. They have probably forgotten to send it out..

Fine for me recently. Not old CRC fast but good enough.

I placed an order a couple of weeks ago, expecting it to be delivered in about 2-3 days. When 4 days had passed I thought something had gone wrong, I called them and was told that the order must have fallen down the back of the sofa!
To be fair to them they then sorted it out pretty quickly and put it on a courier service delivery service (that I hadn't paid for) and it was with me the next day.

Wouldn't say they were very quick off the mark but have always delivered within the week for me (3 or so orders in all).

Never used them, but don't accept the above as an excuse. Last year I ordered some stuff off Merlin on the 23rd of December. Normal postage. Figured I'd get it early Jan in time for the riding I had planned. It arrived on the 24th, before lunchtime!

One of you will have to be renamed as Brock Landers.

Ordered stuff from them last Friday, it arrived today, so not exactly quick but not a problem either.

If I want something immediately I go to a shop. Actually JE James is one of the closest shops, but it often cheaper through their website

I gave them a call this morning and my order was dispatched about an hour later. They reckon the delay was because of the time of year and them doing a 10% off promotion over the weekend increased their workload.

At least I don't have to resort to this now. POW!
