..after sunday stack, i've inspected me helmet and under the dent from the impact there is obvious cracks in the foam....

After numerous impacts i think it's served it purpose and needs replacing, so i've cut through the straps to stop me using it again....

But £124 for a new one 😯 i'm wondering if i should try another brand or model....

Any recomendations similar to the xen???

TJ, if i didn't have it on i'd have a ****ing bad head ache and a mahosive dent in it, so i'm glad on this occasion i had it on....also i believe if i didn't have it one i'd of got lateral whip lash if there's such a thing.

cheap helmets protect you to the same extent.

after the first sizeable impact it needs replacing really.

I like E2s, not a bad price.

Al, i know that but the xen offers slightly more protection lower down the head...which is where i ****ted mine, so i see it as an important design feature reguardless of whether it really did help.

Stoner, i know, but i'd be replacing my helmets at an alarming rate if i did....and on the other occasions no dents/cracks were apparent, i know, i know just cuz they can't be seen doesn't mean the weakness is there, etc.

xen was purchased as new from fleabay, so no receipt....lbs should help me out though.

Giro Hex's aren't bad, they've got a similar cut to the xen, i have one and i know plenty of people who have them and heard no complaints
