Fitting a rudder internal routed dropper to an e-bike!!!

Ooof... at least 12 bolts needed removing (2 for battery holder either end... cable tidy bolts, bash cage bolts... grommet bolt..) and routing the cable past the battery plates and the motor was a tough one!!!

Oh well, done now, but would have been cheaper (time wise) getting a reverb axs!

Also, there's a SECOND electrical wire running in my down tube...One's for the bar controller...what's the other one for??

We've already had guesses at 'catheter'.

I reckon it MIGHT be for front lighting??

I bought an ebike with a dropper already fitted but when I came to replace the remote and cable , I found a real can of worms. Whoever had built the bike up had got a kink in the cable which wedged firmly between frame and motor meaning I had to drop the motor to change the cable. There really is very little room to manoeuvre so I hope I have managed to locate the cable so I can replace it without a massive faff.

It's a challenge!!

Thankfully, due to at least 5 weeks of medical training, I managed to utilise the Seldinger technique to get the cable outer through the harder to reach areas... using the cable inner as the 'leader', getting that in place, then threading the outer over it...

The real question here is of course what did you get?

The other question is when are the other 3 getting one?

Why on earth have you got an Ebike DrP? I've seen your vids, you are neither old nor disabled!

Nah..it's not for me!

it's a Trek powerfly 5, womens, in small!!

So that my partner (and my son rides it too) and I can go out for actual proper bike rides!

She loves it. I love it.

We're all winners!!

Here's the middle of Friston Forest, hiding from the gopping weather from Saturday!

Was about to ask is it a trek, the extra cables are for trek/bonty lights they use the main bikes power supply. The Rail has the same additional cable.
