[#8165889]

Watching a headcam video of someone irritatingly talented riding the Portal trail, it made me think of places I've been but for some reason - mainly fear of death if I'm honest - not ridden the 'signature' trail.

So... I went to Moab but I never road the Portal Trail.

Since then I've ridden the ridiculous off-road descent from the Ventoux summit, and the lesser known but no less exposed Val Gorge in the Rhone Alps. Even so not sure if I ever went back to Moab the Portal trail would be top of my list to ride.

I'm sure this isn't just me....

First the pan goes onto a medium heat.

Season the lightly beaten eggs with salt and pepper.

Next, about a heaped teaspoon of butter goes into the pan swirl it around so the base and sides are moistened with it. When it begins to melt and foam, pour in the eggs and start to stir. As the eggs begin to cook keep on stirring, getting into the corners of the pan with the pointed end of the spoon.

Be patient and continue to scramble until until three-quarters of the egg is a creamy solid mass. At this point remove the pan from the heat and add the remaining butter (about a teaspoon) and at this stage if you like you can add a little splash of cream or crème fraîche.

The eggs will carry on cooking in the heat of the pan until there is no liquid left.

Serve quickly. And that’s all there is to it!

If you like you can ring the changes - a rounded tablespoon of cream cheese with garlic and herbs or 25g of blue cheese such as Creamy Gorgonzola or Roquefort instead of the cream.

Or perhaps some snipped smoked ham or freshly grated Parmesan.

Went to Whistler, didn't ride anything outside the park. That was a waste.

I've been to Halifax
But I've never been to Leeds

Ridden round and walked up Snowdon loads of times, never really seen the point of taking a bike up it.

TBF, I think there'd be more of a point of taking a bike DOWN it.

Wanted the trip of a lifetime so booked a riding trip to Peru for my fortieth with a company.
I'm sure it's basically my fault for not researching it enough, I mean, it was billed as a mountainbiking trip, but basically, it was about 97% road riding for nearly 3 weeks.
Utterly gutted. Riding past some of the finest singletrack Peru has to offer on the shitty kin road. Terrible. 😥

Still, at least I was in Peru, even if the riding was shit.

3 weeks of road riding? That's some birthday present 🙁

I had one day at Whistler and didn't ride in the park at all. I spent quite a lot of the day falling off woodwork. A day that'll go down in history as 'the last day I every clipped in' 😉

I went to laguna hills and didn't ride Telonics

couldn't find it initially and then some guy told me where it was so I rode over and did the first bit. **** ME, it was evil !

Went back a couple of years later and somebody showed me the actual trail - wasn't what I'd tried the time before. Think I might have been on PG - I'll NEVER ride that

Spent ome time in Rotorua last December, wife only let me have one morning of riding on a hire bike, from the hiking we did I think I missed about 90% of the trails 🙁

2013 Fujimi Panarama Bike park, turned up just before national DH championships, at the time there were only 3 trails down, could only ride two of them over the 3 day trip as the main one, A, was closed off for pre-race prep.
