[#1330540]

I upgraded my shock to take advantage of an extra two inches of travel from a different mounting and I can't notice much difference.

Bugger.

I am super gnarly radcore to the max (well not really) But I ride hard enough to have noticed not bloody much. Perhaps I'll turn off the propedal..!!!

6 inch 30% sag was 4 inch 25%

It's a Joker.

Seriously, you should be able to tell the difference, what shock is it?

An RP2 - It's working and I'm getting full travel it just doesn't seem to make a vast difference.

Has the rp2 got high speed compression adjustment? If so you could try to
make it more linear by running less. Or run more sag, but with morehigh speed compression?

Yup just rebound and propedal. I expected it to be much plusher but it isn't probably the propedal. I will muck around this weekend and see what it does. It probably hangs up less over big obstacles and stuff..

It just wasn't night and day over 4 inches is all.

Different suspension platform but having gone to 4.5inch travel on my blur 4x I can't notice much difference to previous 6" bike either, still take the edge off all the hits and goes fast! Used to have a joker btw and agree they are great frames. I think its quality not quantity that make the difference.

Davey,

I weigh 16 stone + I did snap my ISIS SL frame but that was completely down to me.

Lots of Jokers went at the swingarm but neither my ISIS or Joker have had that issue + I have a spare swingarm!

Bearing in mind that the Joker was the bike of choice for many a nutter I expect lots of them went. I use mine as a burly trail bike rather than a freeride bike and it's fine.

I could find anything else I liked to replace the ISIS hence the Joker.

ProPedal makes any bike/setup feel gash if you have the wrong tune. Is it a new shock or an old one that got fettled?
