Right, I'm trying to sort out my summer riding properly this coming year or it will end up with a day in Wales like it did this year. I'm going to do two weeks in France, the first with family doing the usual face-feeding, beach-sitting sort of thing but then I'm going to find places to ride my bike.

My cousin lives in Ax in the Pyrenees so I was figuring a bit of time there and Vallnord but what else? Should I nip over to the Alps? Northern Spain?

Do two weeks riding, one in the pyrenees and one in the alps.

One week riding both the alps and pyrenees would mean you'll miss a load of it surely?

Thread drift seems to have been affected by the icy conditions and has become more of a thread skid.

In any case, I don't dislike Wales, I just have an opportunity to ride further afield if I get myself organised.
