want a 15cm x 90cm foam roller for Getting some self administered massage.

dont want to pay 25 quid for said item.

Are they sold under any other guise than physio and sports stores -the mark up on them must be incredible !

this is of course im missing something and there is infact something special about them that costs 25 quid !

Gloss roller's tad too small and unlikely to take a mans weight

Short ones here £14 free P&P

[Edit] They've also got ones for £11 to [Edit]

they'r emade of pretty firm stuff - not much 'give' in them.

equivalent length of soil pipe might do the job?

I bought one from this lot on fleabay a while back, tho' I'm not sure they're advertising there now:

http://core-equipment.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage_css&product_id=37&category_id=10&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=34

8.50 plus p+p
You probably need to check the sizing, but the one I bought was the size yer after, and was the same as the one I'd been using for Pilates, ie v. firm

The 15x45cm one below has been fine for my ITB so may be OK for your calves too?

http://physiosupplies.com/acatalog/White_Foam_Roller_15cm_x_45cm.html

£13.99 seemed more reasonable to me....

Foam roller? MTFU! 😉

I use a wine bottle (unopened). It's solid, so in the past I've started by not putting my whole weight on it, but once you get to the stage of putting your weight on it you can't go wrong! Failing that, a rolling pin.
