Afternoon
Just got my shiney new xt brakes fresh from rose and cos my bike has IS fitting on the frame and forks I got the IS to post mount adaptors.
Now... On the santa cruz chameleon the IS mount on the frame has deep pockets for the bolts. This leaves only a few mm of the screw to connect with the bracket due to the width of the washer on the supplied bolt.
Should I use different bolts or just file down the non removable washers on the supplied bolts?
Cheers
longer bolts would be my advice - if you start filing you'll end up with uneven contact between the washers and the frame.
Only if I file really really badly....
Plus, thinking about it I will need smaller washers to fit into the mount on the frame. Wonder if I can cut the washers off and put new ones on...
