Hi,
Ive lost the end cap thing off my Fsa cranks i don't know the model but there the same sort of design as the Shimano HT2 cranks? i bought one of the Shimano HT2 endcaps but the thread is too big is this the one i need?

It should be. It's the same as the replacement I had to buy for mine 🙂
When I was looking there was one with a different thread size though, but I found that that was only for much older chainsets.
