Uneven distribution of Gorilla tape has lead to that.

You only have yourself to blame.

😉

Might be a sticker though.

A bit of T-Cut and it'll be fine.

Really need a good wash to get all the mud off before I could make an assessment.

But hey - new bike time!

Nah, just allows you to run a belt drive if you want.

'Tis but a flesh wound. AKA an excuse for a repair and new paint job.

Excellent suggestion right there, couple of fishplates and some bolts,Bob's yir uncle Robert 🙂
Or push the frame protector up so you can't see it then carry on regardless .

Looks like steel, very easy to fix that with a welder. I'd do it for a beer if you're anywhere near Dursley.

Was going to say, surely it can be welded?

Haha, my 1997 Hahanna cracked in that exact location when I was hauling up a hill.

I thought my tyre had gone flat and was most disappointed when I realised it was a bit more terminal.

My '97 Kilauea is fine just there (Well, it was the last time I looked. That's cursed it)

Exactly what happened here.

Thanks, next door neighbour is going to give it a go!! Hopefully not before I have got an one whippet, past Mrs anagallis!!

My similar aged cinder cone went in the same place, and then was fine for at least 10 years once I'd brazed it back together.

As above, if your neighbor has no luck and you're near Sheffield/Rotherham I'm happy to stick some brass there.

What tyres are those - looking for a replacement for my Fat Franks (as I'd quite like some tyres that are round rather than round-ish)

@anagallis_arvensis Darren who built my bike could probably sort that if your neighbour can't. He's very local to where you work (I think), Love Lane area.

stick in a nice set of swing or sliding drop outs and you can build a real bike out of the ashes
