Is There Any Other Sport Where Your Pants Attach to Your Shorts?

Looking at the other thread, I wondered why do we attach our kecks to our outers?

Does any other sport or pastime do this?

andre agassi had a range bitd of shorts with a cycling short liner.

and modern times, most women's uniforms with skirts as opposed to shorts are in fact 'skorts'

So yeh, loads.

Running.

I was gonna say same.

Running shorts with a lycra liner are brilliant.

Not enough of them have pockets though. Maybe I need gravel running shorts?

You're supposed to cut the tags that connect them.

At least my Scott ones say so on the instructions and I haven't seen inseparable ones since a pair of fox racing shorts from about 2005

I think this thread is a response to the £185 DRVL shorts one

Ice Hockey. You also attach your jersey to yourself as well.

I think it's a weird roadie thing where it's more comfortable when sat in the saddle for hours on end and that's come across to long distance mountain biking too. I don't think it's at all necessary for more casual (ie enjoyable ;-p)  cycling whatsoever.

Why do runners need lycra inners then flappy outers? Never felt the need.

Actually surely it is only MTBers who attach their knickers to their "shorts" (as they are not really) . Roadies just go for practicality.

Gives you a bit of extra protection if you're trail running. Also if you choose the right outers they have elastic pockets that are good for carrying gels etc.

The lycra stops my fat thighs rubbing themselves raw at the crotch; the outer shorts stop everyone being horrified at the outline of my genitals.
