what are the best chains to go for regards lifetime expectancy, I'm hearing 800 miles per chain and therefore the cassette its married to. my style of riding is mtb and the chain i'm repeatedly going for is a connex 900 made by Wipperman. Does anyvody know of any beter chains that have proved to last longer.

i've done probably 10000+ miles on mine over the course of 12 years (with a few years in the middle not being ridden at all). i have no idea what brand it is (i assume shimano).

probably shouldnt admit to such a lack of maintenance and tlc ๐Ÿ˜€ but i've never had any problems with it so never needed to change it

I'm using Srams and can't really fault them. As long as IU keep it clean and well maintained I get over a thousand miles out of it but then I like to change it before then so I know it's not stretching too much and forcing me to buy a completely new drivetrain.
