arternoon all,

have a flat bar road bike, was curious would the XX shifters work on a Sram Red rear mech?

im aware of the double tap rear shifters but would rather the XX if possible.

cheers

Red and XX are completely interchangeable. I speak from experience.

I am running SRAM Red TT shifters with my XX mounted on Paul's thumbie mounts. Perfect match. XX is the only off-road groupset that will work with SRAM Red.

If you fancy something a bit different, you could try the same set up. The thumbies with TT shifters look a bit retro but they work really well.

Probably because XX is the only 10-speed mtb gruppo at the moment.....

You are indeed a smart arse.

But the question was also about compatibility the other way. All of the SRAM road groupsets are 10 speed, but not all are compatible with XX.
