How do I recognise if my rim is tubeless ready and just needs rim tape or not and needs rim tape and the rubber rim strip. The rim is a Whyte trial 21 from a 2015 whyte 905, thanks

The tape is the most important part, you don't necessarily need both. I'd tape it and try it like that with tubeless valves first.

I ran tubeless on those for a year with no issues. 🙂
The guy I bought it from team it tubeless for a year before that. Removed stock tape and used 25mm Gorilla, no issues.
