Not come across this before, but noticed it on a 39t 10 speed Truvativ ring. Then promptly stripped the thread....
Seems like this ring uses a one piece bolt, rather than the 2 piece, male/female type I am used to.
Currently bodged with a 2 piece bolt, but this is interfering with shifting.

Was reading about the race face narrow wide chainring and that has the option of a threaded cr bolts, no need for female............but when I've looked to buy one none seem to give the option?
So does anybody know if threaded bolt now standard on the race face nw chainring?
There must be an logical reason why all chainring bolts aren't threaded? I've lost too much Knuckle skin on cr teeth and ruined a couple of cr trying to undo those effing industry norm male female cr bolts!
SiB - yeah, that's fine, until you do what I did and mess up a £60 ring. I prefer the ones that use allen keys front and back
Iirc threaded cr bolt holes are standard on all SRAM rings now?
