[Closed] Is it possible to build a wheel with only a spoke spanner?

As the title suggests if you have all the bits eg hub, rims, spokes, nipples can you build a wheel with only a spoke spanner.

I assume you could use your frame to get it running true but maybe I am wrong.

Yes it is mate, i use an old pair of rigid forks which i clamp in a vice.

Yep use your bike fork/frame plus a zip tie as a reference when tensioning the spokes.

Yeah, built loads with a screwdriver and spoke spanner. I ziptied metal tyre leavers to my frame to true

cotton buds cut off at a 45deg angle helps hold the nipple until you get it started onto the spoke thread.

the hardest bit is keeping it from going egg shaped. if you make sure you screw the same amount of nipple onto each spoke as you work round you'll be fine.
