placed an order, used the voucher, goods came and the £5 was deducted off the first item i had put in the basket which happened to not fit me so i returned that and go a refund....of the reduced amount only, hence of the items i ordered i didnt get £5 off the things i ended up buying.
seems very clever as every voucher they give out there is a 50% chance it could be returned and they dont give away the fiver!
surely it should just be off the total sale...if they had any backbone!!

note; if you use the voucher choose an item you almost defiatly will keep as your first selection into your basket.

tight wads!!

By refunding the item did it take the value of goods purchased below the £50 threshold for using a voucher?

Did returning the item reduce the basket total to under £25/£50?

its £5 off a certain price, if you return the item and the order goes under that price then you dont get the discount. If your unhappy email them, they are generally nice people but sometimes automated systems screw-up.

And how do you work out 50% returns? thats a pretty high estimate, i dont think even womens clothes catalouges get that much return!

what i meant was theres a 50/50 chance that if you buy an item you will
a) keep it
b) not keep it.

this is just going to run and run isnt it?
i think ill just shut up now.....

I reckon that if I order something - there's a 99% chance I'll keep it

I don't think that is correct. I agree that there are 2 possible outcomes, but I do not understand why you are attributing equal probability to each of them.

I think a lot of people would agree with the statement "When I have bought something I want I usually keep it". 🙂

I run an internet business (clothing) and I find returns is a couple of percent at most.

there is perhaps a 50 / 50 chance i'll end up selling it on here as i need something better and then realise i should have infact kept it 😉

50/50? No way... The majority of stuff I order I keep, unless it's faulty or damaged.

Personally I think the Wiggle vouchers are a nice little saving if there's stuff you want (and can't get from local shop) and you spend over £25 or whatever the threshold is.

OK we've established you're an idiot 😉

Right - there may well be a bug in their system so that it assigns the discount to the first item & then takes it off again if you return or cancel that item
I'd call them [if they had a phone number listed] but would settle for an email

I suppose there's also a 50/50 chance wiggle is run by aliens, with that logic.

odannyboy what was your original basket amount for, what amount was the voucher valid for and what was the basket amount after you returned the item.

Only when we have these facts will be able to establish whether you are a complete idiot or just a bit stupid

I reckon there's a 50/50 chance that you're a complete idiot. 😉

LOL @ Penis 🙂 If you have £5 off orders over £50 or £25 depending what voucher you have - you return one of the items and as someone said above the value of the total sale goes below £25/£50 your voucher is not valid - everyone could do this i.e. want something for £15 - got a code but only for purchases over £25 but you buy to and return one or similar?

I got a gillet for £29 reduced with a voucher to £24 and it was the wrong size so I sent an email to those nice wiggle people and they sent me a new voucher code so that I could return the wrong one and re-order the correct size.

Now stop being horrid to the OP

hmmmm........

I had a wiggle voucher, not 100% sure which, basicly £x.yz off if you spend £abc.

Spent £abc, retuned 1 item (cant remember why/what it was)

But on the bill they'd deducted a % off each item so I got a refund for the price paid for the item. eg if i'd boutg 2 things at £25 each, got my £10 off, returned one, i got a refund for £20 🙂

it can be a pian if you are not certain on sizes, i ordered a few bits and pieces a while back and oreder some in small and some in med, i lost the voucher as the discount was taken from one item, and yes the order total was still over £50. I think it is just the way the computer system does it. Its not always the first oder, as recently it came off the last item in my basket. Oh well i guess sometimes you benefit and others not, but hey they are fairly generous in the system they operate makes it possible to get a voucher whenever you want one
