[Closed] is Epping Forest getting eroded beyond recovery ???

rode High Beech to Whips Cross singletracks on Monday and in some sections of "singletrack" it was an eight foot wide mud pit caused by tyres, not sure its been so bad, but admit i may be remembering bygone winters with a rose tint, will it recover or are we ruining the forest ❓

I don't know Epping, but Swinley is going that way in many places....

It's over-used, and not just by mountainbikers. I never ride there any more, got bored with the same old ride every time.

We ride Epping all year round, High Beach down to Whipps is a fantastic trail in the summer but wouldnt go near it at this time of year....is too low so holds the water and fills with mud. Eroded? No.

not eroded at all, its just a sh1t trail this time of year, better off in epping forest

agree with the above but it dont help when
the trails are bogged and the Horses still go
down and churn the ground.
