So going out to Whistler soonish. Does everywhere accept card or do I need to get some real money converted over here?

I used my card pretty much the whole time when I was there in April. Odd things need cash but not much.

What John said, apart from on a bus I can't think of anywhere that won't take a card. It's possibly more convenient to have a bit of cash for small purchases like coffee, etc

@johni, @bluebird
cheers, sounds like I can get away with it.

@dirtyrider
Nope. The butler does that.

(Some places take card for everything (like Seattle). Other places like the UK don't as much - Wondered what Whistler was like)

Can pay by card. We always take cash as splitting bills for rounds of drinks or food between mates is much easier with cash so therefore depends on who you are going with.

Paying by cash - you'll get used to hearing "will you be needing change?" from very pretty waitresses.

I don't think I ever said yes once.
