I'd say Cwmcarn but Brechfa would be a bloody long drive wouldn't it?

Would definitely recommend Brechfa, can't comment on Cwmcarn though. Apparently Cwm Rhaeadr is good too but i haven't been there yet and is not too far from Brechfa (as an add on).

Is Cwmcarn better than Penhydd Trail (doesnt include any of the W2)

Hi cloudnine, might do mate, is that your local trail?

Penhydd is amazing if you like green graded featureless trails void of anything technical

Cwmcarn is a lot better than Penhydd. Depending what you do. There are two trails now and fairly lengthy and technical, whereas Penhydd is fairly tame apart from a few sections and short by comparison. Plus Cwmcarn also has the two DH tracks. Worth doing alone if you fancy uplifting, but you can climb and run down once if you like, or maybe grab a spare spot on the uplift later in the day if you haven't booked. If you like that sort of thing. The original DH is actually quite rollable, even on a hard tail (though way more fun on an AM or DH bike).

Brechfa. Long way to go. Don't go there and just do Raven. That's what I did. Waste of time. Black it is yes, but in my mind only because of the tedious amounts of tedious climbs involved. Though the descents were nice, just too short and then into another tedious climb. Some people love it though. I'm told the red and blue trails are much more fun.
