I'm looking at changing to a pair of reba's some pretty good deals out there but on Post mount. I have IS mount callipers running 180mm rotors and i don't really want to do 203mm.
So can i get a adapter that will keep the rotor size at 180mm?
Cheers
Paul

Sure?
"Shimano mount adaptor to mount a 74mm post mount caliper to a 51mm IS mount fork with a 180mm rotor. "
I'm looking at a post mount fork with a IS caliper.

Or is running the other way round its party trick?

I don't think you can TBH speshpaul, I was in the same position as you, IS XTR callipers and a direct post mount Magura fork, couldn't find one that would do the job, had to get new callipers eventually

Shimano don't do one to do this job.

After looking in a bit more detail and not shooting posts off quickly it appears you may have to go up to a 203 on the front, sorry, be cheaper than getting new calipers anyway !!

Would this not do it then ?

http://www.hopegb.com/voir_ADAPTMANAV.html

It says you need a 20mm larger disc, so if a standard post mount fits 160mm this should fit a 180mm, or am i missing something ?

tragic - hope IS mount calipers come in different varieties for different size discs - so if you have the calliper for a 180 disc using is mount forks you have to go to a 203 disc with the adaptor for post mount

Try going to www.a2zcomponents.com they specialise in doing adapters of this sort. Many of the adapters that they offer are compromises but will work.
