I don't have a gopro bit the camera I do have has a strap mount so I reckon I could fashion a chesty mount. problem is, do they need to be tight to stop the camera sagging and will the sternum Strap on my Camelback get in the way. Just doing a garage test on the elasticated sternum straps reveals it going saggy when moving around/leaning forward.

i've got the gopro chesty mount - i have it pretty tight but it is elasticated so reasonably comfortable. only problem is remembering to tuck the camelbak hose in to stop it flapping about and getting in the frame

i presume the chesty goes on before the camelback. Would it be comfy over a full day if it has to be tight?

Yeah on before the camelbak. Will probably be comfy over a full day but i've only had it out on shorter rides (under 2 hours). Didnt have any problems for that duration

I adapted one of the supplied mounts to go on the shoulder strap of a rucksack.

Very comfy under a camelbak. I've used mine for all day rides in Wales etc and you forget it's there.

Get a hose holding clip for your camel back and mount it on the chest strap, stops the hose going anywehere near the camera and prevents unwanted noise!
