I've just got a Tigra iPhone bike mount from Amazon. It woks a treat so I've made a short YouTube video to show what it's like. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/90ubPr
looks ok for gently rides, but wouldn't want to take it on any ride where there is a risk of crashing, my brother broke his phone in a crash when it was in a camelback, i always make sure mine is crap and old, or well protected
as said above i would never strap my iphone to my bike due to the risk of damage.
have to say, the last thing I want on a ride is easy access to a device that lets people track me down!! Iphone tends to live in the back pack (albeit with cyclemeter running) where I can forget I have it and that there are clients etc out there trying to get hold of me!
I have to agree with others, noway do I want my iphone on my handlebars.
I haven't seen the Tigra iphone mount but, in your opinion nemtbroutes would it keep the iphone safe in an off? i suspect there would be a lot of instances where it wouldn't. If I come off and hurt myself I want my phone to be usable.
Still it does look like a nice bit of kit, i liked the video. But il stick a phone in the backpack and a GPS unit on the handlebars for the time being.
I picked the mount up so i could use memory map for use on routes i've never ridden before. Cheaper than picking up a Garmin or SatMap Active 10 which are £300-400.
I've now posted the video in HD.
Sorry, I did not mute the sound.
