As it goes today is the 82nd anniversary of the Kinder Mass Trespass. Benny Rothman and his mates walking up William Clough onto the Kinder plateau was the start of the open country access we now have. I may have a little ride on the bike later. It may or may not coincide with those long-dashed lines on the OS map. Be nice!

I had a visitor here from Hayfield a while back, he said "You'll not have heard of where we're from", I was all REDSOCK TERRORISTS FTW!

I have no Idea what we have to thank the REDSOCK brigade for ,so they walked up some hill rebelliously and won themselves a small victory, If they had stayed the **** out the way? We would have the hills to ourselves (well and a few sheep) for unadulterated use of cheeky trails ,also we might not have to put up with their incessant displeasure at anything not carrying a thermos flask or the fact someone with a roofrack for a bike might have taken their parking space on a bank holiday monday.
