I kind like how a commercial seller of bikes has put together and sold a parts bin special. I'd never buy one but I love that they think someone will.

I do wonder why on earth they bought so many 29er wheelsets on fat hubs. The fatty won't even take a knard!

Jesus wept that looks horrible. That looks mighty slack for drop bars. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

The FrankenFat is a collaboration of 30 years' worth of cycling enthusiasm, knowledge and know how all brought into one fantastical machine. A machine that will be sure to turn heads no matter where you turn up, if nothing else because you will have a piece of history between your legs.

We've already had feedback and interest hailing the FrankenFat with descriptors such as Monster Crosser and Bike Fantastic. But importantly, it's a bike! And you can ride it.

What a total and utter pile of shite.

Sounds more impressive than "we were bored one Friday afternoon so we decided to see how far we could push it to see what complete pile of crap we could actually get people to buy".

Given the number of them you see out and about, I think they pushed too far.

It remind me of the Lego movie...

And now we have to finish what he started...
...by making whatever weird thing pops into our heads.
All of you have the ability inside of you to be a groundbreaker.
And I mean literally! Break the ground!"

I think a double decker sofa would definitely be a bigger seller.

Yup, I took one look at that and thought - "That's just like something I'd build" (apart from the dangly bits).

Love it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Problem is if I like it, then it's probably not going to sell.

Still, if On-One need more inspiration, my services are available...

Edit: I built something similar about 3 years ago (if I could have got the brown tyres then, I would have put them on)

The Susan Boyle of bikes, looks only a mother could love.
I'm all for building niche bikes but that is a pig.

I wonder how weird folk think it is?

I like it.

Anyone else like it? (Quickie poll)

It's the fork that I can't deal with, and the awful cables. The rest is fine, but the fork especially's butt ugly even with a fat tyre in it, all awkward angles and horrible join to the frame. Apart from that it's no worse than any other funky barred funny shaped on one

From that angle it doesn't look too bad. However I also know how wide the frame and forks are and it's the combination of those things that I struggle with. However, there's a thread with mboy spaffing his load over an even more awkward looking object on this very forum so "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and all that.

Looks shit and will probably ride like an absolute dog.

Having said that, I do like on one. Just not this particular, err, 'bike'.

More like a 'Stool' and not the seating variety.

It's the "drop bars on a flat bar frame" and "29er wheels in a fat frameset" that just looks desperate.

Anyway given there's 1 only I guess they did it for a laugh!
