interesting concept indeed, would like to have a go on one ๐
It makes slicing boiled eggs, trailside for a mid ride snack , a synch. And thank god the industry has finally listened to riders who like freshly sliced eggs, nearly all of us right? But where are all the travel twiddlers, and rebound damping high low speed confustication knobs?
See also the review in that Singletrack magazine thing this month.
missed the review, will have to look out for it in the mag.
@ maccruiskeen exactly what does it synch with?
If something looks right, it probably is right...
For forks sake. I think somebody is having a Lauf with those.
Looks, great. Limited market, but if you like the way it rides, brill.
Best not bash it, though, especially the springs!
Having read Chips' review I'd actually be quite tempted by these if I was doing a ride like the Great Divide or at the opposite end of the spectrum for mucking about in the woods during the winter.
I like the simplicity of it, although I think I'd have to put a few miles on it before I could learn to trust it.
wholly appropriate that its shown with a Crank Brothers wheel...
I read the ST mag review and actually came away quite tempted, well, if it wasn't for the price...thought they'd be great for SDW type riding
Looks like something Mert Lawill would have come up with!
His leading link forks were a great concept just flawed in execution.
I have a couple of pairs of Girvin / Noleens and they are great for removing trail buzz and smaller direct hits because of the J curve described by the axle - if only they could be fitted with disc brakes.
I rode some Vectors many years ago, they were ace but then I was used to Mag 20s that lost all their air within 60 minutes.
