Keep getting a message that my inbox is full when it isn't!

I cleared it out, emptied the trash folder and all others. There's hardly anything in it. I'm using windows Mail.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Do you have an option to expunge anywhere? This really actually deletes messages, and compacts the mailbox (as far as I understand).

You've probably checked but these fill mine up: Sent items; A large attached file

no expunge option.

I did indeed empty that folder too. I've asked the sender to check the size of their file as the only thing I can think of now is that the incoming message is too large?

It could be the mail box at your isp's mailserver - do you have mail set to not delete mail when it collects it?

I have it set so as not to keep a copy on the ISP mailserver.
