Want to do a bulk order of tubes (maybe 20), but can't seem to find anywhere offering decent prices? All I would like is 2.1 presta tubes, at under £2.50 each delivered. Last time I bought 10 off my old LBS they made me feel like I was breaking his arm getting him to agree to that price. Anywhere good for getting hold of tubes online? Or should I try other LBSs in the area?

You'll be lucky given what the price of tubes is now. Long gone are the days of being able to buy them for pence each, sadly.
£2.50 for decent tubes seems like a good deal to me anyway.

That's the problem with bulk buying - sticker shock when it comes time for the next buy. I did the same and was wondering what you were talking about - aren't all tubes 2.50?

Then I checked... 🙁

The cost of bike kit generally has gone sky high over the past few years, +50% I reckon and much more for certain bits. I don't really see why... maybe increased demand due to Bike2Work?

10 Geax presta at Wiggle for £24.70 so creeps under your £2.50 target. I've got em and they are as good as the best of other brands I've used.

People are still using tubes?

How quaint 😉

it's the posted bit that stings it - we can do Schwalbes at a deal, but not worth posting, they're so heavy for relatively little money...

Had aterrible time with Specialized tubes in the early noughties. Valve pulled out of them every time. I'm amazed how long I persevered with them TBH. Some sort of brain problem I feel. Wouldn't touch one other than in an emergency now. Probably much better now. It could even have been a batch problem as I had them from my regular shop.
