In praise of bargain bikes...
Not those supermarket specials but the bikes you're all flogging on eBay.
A couple of weeks ago I bought a Santa Cruz Superlight for close to £200. Fox RLC forks and RP3 Shock, Avid Elixir, Middleburn, XT, Thompson, Hope/Mavic etc. And it rides nice, yeh it's old but so what.
At the weekend a classic Blur, which looked to be in great condition, failed to attract a bid at £200! I'd rather buy that then hire one for a weekend.
There's plenty of 26" bargains to be had, if anyone's still interested in that wheel size any more?
