Evening hive mind,
My old shimano spd shoes have just about had it so need to get so new shiny shoes.

I'm a little out of touch of what's good right now so could do with some collective knowledge. I've got no more than £100 to spend and do most sort of riding with them - apart for DH which I have flats and 5 tens for, so mostly trail centres and the like.

Any opinion on whats particularly good? I've been looking at the five ten maltese falcon but also some of shimano's disco slippers.

Cheers y'all!
Stu

Superb shoe stiff enough but with a little flex for walking / hike a bike plenty of protection just a great trail SPD shoe.

I got some Spesh Rime's in the sales at Evans - really happy with them, stiff, comfy and fine for walking/driving.

I've found Specialised shoes to be great. I've got three pairs over the last 3 years or so - a pair for the road bike, MTB XC shoes and just bought some 2FO's. About £80 to £100 for each pair. As good as any competing shoe out there, just depends on what fits you best I guess.

I've got some mavic Alpine XL's which are really really good so far, and at £55 they were a bargain!
