I'd like a nice light ish steel 29er frame, with gears..I was set on a Solaris but the colours aren't to my taste and a 31.6 post puts me off too, the on ones are a bit of a lump, so what else is out there? The charge ones look nice but I think they're a bit of a lump as well
Oh for a black Solaris with a 27.2 seatpost..or even just a black one,..orange or Ben hur blue is not for me....

If the colour is the only issue then why not just buy a Solaris with a spare set of stickers and get it repainted?

Don't trust shims long term tbh, seen a few break over the years, starts to get pricy doing resprays on new frames as well

The dropouts on the Salsa never move unless you undo the blots.. They have a mech hanger built into the dropout. HTH
